While staying in Mumbai, I used to frequently visit 'Chor Bazar', a
gold-mine of used items. Don't know if it still exists. Most big cities
have similar joints where you can pick up goodies for some pittance. May
be you can try your luck and get hold of a good turntable, er Record
Player :)

I have tried it also but the wow & flutter is not acceptable. problam of pins, arm balancing etc.
There is no point in using it if quality is lost.
Much of my collection is available in alternate forms on casset & CD but the quality of records is the best in my openion. I have enjoyed it from 1975 to 1995. I have Heard that Tecnik turntables are available & I will find for them in my next trip.
