Ubuntu has older version of X that will not work correctly with GMA950 video adapter Please update x.org or better install a recent version of Linux.
Your best bet is Fedora Core 5 or PCQ Linux 2006 Or maybe you can try updating x.org through yum (see the man page) or manual download Also vesa driver should work in case you cannot update the x.org server.
