Dear sir,
Here exactly my problem coincides. As the printer which I have has got a
HP JETDIRECT J2552A card with firmware revision A.04.08 and LAN HW address
080009F1F918 which is christened as "ARIS" and serving as a LAN printer
for half a dozen Win95/98 machines. Ours is a HP LaserJet 4Mplus printer.
Now exactly you tell me as to how to proceed so that my server RH 5.2
machine can identify it by allotting an IP No. As such the Win95/98
machines identify the printer by the HP Jetadmin software. I am not able
to find any Linux compatible Jetadmin software in the www.hp.com site.
Please throw more light.
Yours sincerely,
Geetha, V.
