well, i've got the same card 'n things r just fine, although i must
admit i
had a few really *wierd* problems at the start ;-)
anywayz, i got a SAMTRON 40Bn monitor 'n everything is just fine! no
sweat!!
what i did was:
run Xconfigurator,
->select "CUSTOM" in monitor set-up
->select the "NON-INTERLACED SVGA....." (i think its the 6th option on
the list)
->select "DON'T PROBE" in the video card section
->skip the X test
then, edit the /etc/X11/XF86config file.
->remove the # next to the VRAM specification(mine is 4MB)
add:
-> Option "no_accel"
Option "no_imageblt"
Option "no_bitblt"
Option "sw_cursor"
save 'n exit........done!!!!
simple wasn't it ;-)
