The games and packages that install this way are usually meant just for
Windows. The binaries on the CD will run only on windows. If the vendor has
even a little business sense, then he will also have a linux binary directory
on the CD, with an RPM/.deb package of the software (I don't know of any other
linux package managers) or at least a tar ball of the stuff he wants
installed. Look for a directory named linux in the CD.

Not to mention "This program has performed an..." and "You have to reboot your
system..." :-)
