hey the second hard disk won't be recognised as hda2
 
It will be hdb* if IDE and sda* if SCSI

here a, b, c prefixes to the hd -- harddisk indicates the n th IDE
harddisk.
eg.     A PC having 2 IDE disks and a IDE controlled CDROM then

hda1, hda2, hda*.....   will be partitions on first harddisk.
hdb1, hdb2, hdb*.....   will be partitions on second harddisk.
hdc is CDROM Drive.     not partitionable !!
