I don't know about others, but in my case its ignorance. Also a couple of
words about disk benchmarking on Linux - unless you're using raw devices,
you have to account for buffer caching when you benchmark the disk.
Have you guys used bonnie ? It's rumored to be a good I/O benchmark.
