Hi there ,
Thanx a lot for helping me out with a.out and kppp.... and
by the way , for all u C programmers out there , mind telling my what the
Linux equivalent of the following C header files are and also in which
package  i can find them ? : 1. graphics.h    2. alloc.h

Anyway, i need some help on the following two problems :

1. I have a SiS 6225 video card and a Wipro Acer 34T UVGA monitor ....
since i don't have the horiz. and vert. sync rates of the monitor ,
i have configured it as an extended vga monitor.. the
problem is that whenever i click on the desktop in X , the
mouse pointer gets a black square patch behind it ... also if i open any
windows which cover the desktop icons and then i
close the window , the icons disappear and are replaced by black
patches ...both these problems are set right if i refresh the desktop...
what could be the problem?...also i have tried playing around with the
VGA card and monitor settings in XF86Setup ,but X
crashes with the
error :
_X11TransocketUNIXConnect : Can't connect : errno = 111.
..... what does this error message mean ?

2. I installed RH 6.1 on my friend's PC which has SiS 6326 AGP and a LG
440i monitor..
the problem is that XWindows' screen size is 4 times the normal
size (the pointer appears at the right hand bottom corner of the
screen).. i tried to set this right with XF86Setup but it hangs
after the splash screen (doesn't load) ... i also tried XConfigurator, but
to no avail..what do i do ?

.......... sorry for this really long e-mail ... looking forward
to u'r replies ....

            - Rohit .
