Hi !
I did as directed by Mr. Suresh Ramasubramanian and the error message:
localhost modprobe: can't locate module char-major-108
now has stopped appearing. Thank you for the same :-)
However, there is still one more error :-( which is:
Feb 25 22:29:46 localhost modprobe: no dependency information for module:
"/dev/ttyS1".
/dev/ttyS1 is my modem;
due to which I have still not been able to effectively connect to the internet
using pppd
Can you direct me what to do ?
Thank you,
Kayomarz.
