Dear James,
I finally got some time (and environment) to test your toshoboe
patch 1.9 with my Toshiba Satellite 2540 CDS (Linux 2.2.10) and indeed,
suspend/resume works! Also, discovery seems much more stable.
The only problem is that now ppp seems to be broken. I get the following
messages on the syslog:
Jul 7 23:21:48 ax-nicb kernel: ToshOboe: seting baud to 115200
Jul 7 23:22:59 ax-nicb pppd[8594]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Jul 7 23:22:59 ax-nicb pppd[8594]: Receive serial link is not 8-bit clean:
Jul 7 23:22:59 ax-nicb pppd[8594]: Problem: all had bit 7 set to 0
Jul 7 23:23:02 ax-nicb kernel: ToshOboe: seting baud to 9600
After this, pppd loops back and shuts down.
I am using pppd 2.3.6 - I am not a specialist so it is possible that
pppd is not correctely set up. However, it works fine on toshoboe-1.5!
Sorry to bother you, but perhaps you would have an answer?
TIA,
Nicola
