I've been trying to keep up with this list since its inception, but I've
been rather too busy of late. Having recently acquired both a Psion
Series 5 and a Nokia 6210, I've been moved to try to get IR up and running
with my two (supposedly) IR-capable machines. Unfortunately, I'm having
a number of problems, and I'm trying to bring my understanding of the
whole structure of things up to scratch. It seems that the IR-HOWTO
is quite a long way out of date, now, making reference to such things as
irmanager (which I understand from reading recent list archives isnow
obsolete), and doesn't give an overview of how things string together in
theory.
Is it being updated? If not, I'll volunteer, because as I struggle through
my own problems with help from others here, I can bring it back in line,
and fill in what I perceive to be the gaps.
(Not that I want this to be taken as any kind of negative criticism of
the current documents author, you understand.)
