Okay: I have a TARGA Companion 800 Notebook for Actebis
(www.actebis.com); Germany.
It has a Sis630 brige.
The no identification of the IrDA Controller in the Maunal nor on the
Homepage.
Windows ME (preinstalled) says it is using the NSC (Resources io=0x2f8;
irq=3; dma=1; I search in in System-properties for another Resources
that could be use, but there are any.)
I find now also in the Troubleshooting appendix; that if the driver for
Windows are lost, I have to install them for PC87338 with the HP-Dongle
(I get a littel confused: The PC87338 is a Multi-IO Chip (www.nsc.com),
isn't it?)
Well, I also have the possibilty to switch in bios setup between FIR and
IrDA (seems to be SIR). When I use FIR setserials detect a 8250 UART
with SIR a 16550).
lspci shows no IrDA.
pnpdump show no ISA plug and play devices.
I rewrote the findchip tool to check *ALL* addresses that are not in use
(according to /proc/ioports) up to 0xa000. Nothing was found. (0x2f8 was
include; I did setserial /dev/ttyS1 uart none)

If you need anything else; tell me please.

Thanks a lot

Hendrik
