the HOWTO mentions that IRCOMM can 'crash the kernel easily'...i'm not
sure if that reference is up to date or not (i tend not to trsut he irda
docs too heavily ;-)

hwoever this is exactly what i'm expereincing...i'm running with RH7.0
and recently installed 2.2.19 kernel, with whatever irda support the
above suggests (i haven't installed anything manually, it all just works
(sets up irda0, happily dials on a mobile over IR) (unless it crashes!))

...it semed more stable with out of the box 2.2.14 kernel that came with
RH7.0...since upgrading the kernel, using ppp over irda on my nokia 6210
phone often hangs the kernel on disconnect

before i try and install the whole thing from scratch using the latest
irda drivers, does anyone have any expereince with IRCOMM kernel
crashes? where's the ebst place to start looking for a fix?

thnx
