I've done '/usr/local/sbin/ncpd -s /dev/ircomm0' and that goes
straight in without problem. However, the notebook still does not
connect to the palmtop or the palmtop to the notebook even though
irdadump says it's there. After doing 'usr/local/sbin/ncpd -s
/dev/ircomm0' I also find that I can no longer find my mobile phone
or the MS218 palmtop.

In /etc/rc.config /dev/ttyS1 is set as the default infra-red port in
SuSE 7.1. Do I need to change this to /dev/ircomm0 ? Or, do I need
to change some other config file ?
Result of Irdadump below with my mobile phone next to the notebook.
