Dear All

Anyone know what this might be about ?

My old Compaq 1592DT dropped dead recently. Probably just as well,
it didn't work with Irda at all.

I've now got a Clevo 665 from.....

http://www.clevo.com.tw

It's very nice. Plug in hard drives and all kinds of other stuff.
I've installed SuSE 7.1 into it and I find that USB works fine. So
does Irda.

If I do 'irdadump' I can detect both my Ericsson T28S mobile phone
and my Ericsson MS218 palmtop. If I plug my palmtop into my notebook
with an RS232 cable I can use plptools to transfer files over with
plptools and 'plpftp'. No problems there.

If I start a plptools session with ' /usr/local/sbin/ncpd -s
/dev/ttyS1 ' I get the following error message......

" /dev/ttyS1: Device or resource busy"

Is this something to do with irattach or is it something else ? I
have cd'd to /usr/sbin and done './irattach /dev/tyS1 -s' and I
still get the same error message.

Also, I have tried to get my notebook to dial the internet through my
mobile phone. It just tells me that it isn't there when irdadump
says otherwise.

Anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here ? The Irda port in
/etc/rc.config is set to ttyS1.

Thanks
