Hello yet again,
I've succeeded in transferring both directions using irda, irtty, ircomm,
and ircomm-tty on kernel 2.4.6, but _not_ on kernel 2.4.2-2. The
following setup works, for other people with T21's:
modprobe irda
modprobe irtty
modprobe ircomm
modprobe ircomm-tty
irattach /dev/ttyS1 -s
Enable infrared through the BIOS first, if this has not already been done.
If you are using a pcmcia card, don't forget to put
exclude irq X
in /etc/pcmcia/config.opts, where X is the irq on which you enabled the
infrared device.
