irdadump shows nothing.

serial is compiled as module and not loaded.
the machine is a dell latitude c600, the bios is set to COM2 and FAST IRDA.

irda is working under win 2k, so there is no hardware issue.

with some other kernels and lots of try&error i got irda sometimes
to the point, where irdadump shows the announcement of the machine
itself, but i never see the announcement of my other irda device
(siemens s35i cellular phone).

any idea what i should do ?
or is there any patch i should try ?

regards, andreas
