I compiled a new kernel (2.4.15-pre3) with IRDA_DEBUG enabled. The
system still freezes. (BTW: why would a debug option change the system
behaviour that is to be debugged? Isn't that the opposite of the
original idea?)

I checked so far the kernel versions 2.4.4, 2.4.5, 2.4.6, 2.4.7 (all
work)
2.4.9, 2.4.10, 2.4.13, 2.4.14 and 2.4.15-pre3 (all show the system
freeze). If you want me to check 2.4.8 in order to fill the gap, I will.

Please CC me, I'm not on the list!

Regards,
Philipp.
