Hi Peter, Thanks for your input. But I think there's been some confusion.
I have a perfectly working IrDA configuration with a T28 / DI28 combination using the v2.4.5 kernel. I upgraded my phone to the T39 with built-in infra-red and that's when the trouble started. The phone has at least different firmware if not hardware as well when comparing it with the DI28 IR modem. Based on all the notes I've read, it is CTS related. I am just trying to find the right combination of kernel versions, patches, etc. used by others who have IrDA working with this phone.
