Could one of the people on the list with the Satellite 1800-400 (There
are two of you, I think?) please run the following command as root,
and put the results on the list?

lspci -xxx -d 10b9:1533

I've gotten ahold of some of the datasheets for the South Bridge in the
Satellite 1800-400 (ALi M1535) but I'm waiting on another chunk to be
absolutely sure I know what I'm doing.

Entertainingly, the SMSC LPC47n227 appears to actually be part of the
South Bridge, rather than just being connected to it. So configuration
may be both easier and harder than expected. :-)

Of course Pacman didn't influence us as kids. If it did,
we'd be running around in darkened rooms, popping pills and
listening to repetitive music.
