Hmmm... tried using: setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none port 0 irq 0 setserial /dev/ttyS1 uart none port 0 irq 0 before bringing up irda0 (defined as smc-ircc in modules.conf, with irq and dma set to the defaults, 3) and smc-ircc still doesn't load.
