Peter Stuge <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: You had an answer here a month ago saying you used a Palm m505 with linux (you explained PPP and iptables masq here). And wondered if you had seen the following problems:
1. /proc/net/irda/maux_baud_rate doesnt exist. Dunno if this one is a real prolem tho, seems to accept the "echo 115200 > blah". 2. On the Palm m500 the "beam receive"-setting in Preferences->General seems to be permanently off, even if it is showing "on". Tried to to a hard reset and clearing my m500, still no different behaviour. Waving the m500 in front of the IR-port produces nothing in /proc/net/irda/discovery, and ditto if I run WinXP, it find my phone, but not the m500. 3. Most attempts (1 out of 10 is OK) seem to fail when trying to do anything over IR with Linux. Probably related to the above. 4. What software under linux will reliably do syncing/backup/restore/install? I've tried pilot-xfer and it doesn't seem happy, it quits fairly abruptly after getting the connection. FYI, I run RedHat 7.2, with Ximian Gnome (it is up to date), so pilot-xfer is from the Ximian distirbution. cheers, Alexander -- Alexander Hoogerhuis | [EMAIL PROTECTED] CCNP - CCDP - MCNE - CCSE | +47 905 76 198 "You have zero privacy anyway.
