I enabled irda debug option and found this: armada:~# cat /proc/kmsg <6>IrDA: Registered device irda0 <6>IrCOMM protocol (Dag Brattli) <7>irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 115200 <7>irlmp_state_dtr(), Unknown event LM_LAP_CONNECT_CONFIRM <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error! <6>IrLAP, no activity on link! <7>Framing or parity error! <7>Framing or parity error!
(^-- that kind of messages repeated 1-2 times in every 5 second) <7>irlap_change_speed(), setting speed to 9600 <7>ircomm_tty_state_ready(), hanging up! <7>ircomm_tty_hangup() <7>ircomm_tty_shutdown() <7>ircomm_tty_detach_cable() <7>ircomm_close() What I did during above output, was loading irda module and using ppp connection until it broke (after ~3 minutes). I'm just wondering what are those "framing or parity error" and "no activity on link" messages? Something seems to be really broken in my system. irdadump says: <clip> 13:19:56.765416 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=1 ns=3 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:56.785415 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=1 ns=4 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:56.865546 i:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=5 ns=1 LM slsap=13 dlsap=02 (71) 13:19:56.905400 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=2 ns=5 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:56.925399 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=2 ns=6 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:56.935418 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=2 ns=7 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:56.935785 i:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=0 ns=2 LM slsap=13 dlsap=02 (83) 13:19:56.975408 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=0 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:56.995402 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=1 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:57.435410 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=2 (2) 13:19:57.465403 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=3 ns=2 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:57.965403 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=3 (2) 13:19:57.995416 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=3 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:58.465410 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=4 (2) 13:19:58.495443 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=4 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:58.965411 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=5 (2) 13:19:58.995415 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=3 ns=5 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:19:59.495417 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=6 (2) 13:19:59.995437 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=6 (2) 13:20:00.045453 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=7 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.065417 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=3 ns=0 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.065468 rr:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=6 (2) 13:20:00.095418 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=6 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.115469 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=3 ns=7 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.135421 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=3 ns=0 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.135546 i:cmd > ca=44 pf=0 nr=1 ns=3 LM slsap=13 dlsap=02 (71) 13:20:00.135827 i:cmd > ca=44 pf=0 nr=1 ns=4 LM slsap=13 dlsap=02 (71) 13:20:00.136955 i:cmd > ca=44 pf=1 nr=1 ns=5 LM slsap=13 dlsap=02 (71) 13:20:00.185425 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=6 ns=1 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.205420 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=0 nr=6 ns=2 LM slsap= 02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.225435 i:rsp < ca=44 pf=1 nr=6 ns=3 LM slsap=02 dlsap=13 (206) 13:20:00.225541 i:cmd > ca=44 pf=0 nr=4 ns=6 LM slsap=13 dlsap=02 (83) <clip> By the way, where can be found the syntax of those mysterious lines....?
