Okay, after patching a plain 2.2.13 to irda-patch23 I can talk to the phone
now using cu or minicom. But for some reason wvdial doesn't work, I'll get
the echoed ATZ back from the mobile phone but not the "OK".

A german company (Reichelt) sells the Actisys IR motherboard adapter for
around 60.- DM (thats around 30 Euro). It includes the dongle and the 5 pin
motherboard connector.
