Hi there,

I'm still trying to make the FIR port on my Armada 1700 work. I have
discovered that if I set Windows 98 to use ACPI instead of APM, hte system
detects a SMC IrCC instead of a Generic IrDA SIR port. Unfortunately, it
does not work even in Windos, and so I cannot find out what resources it
is using.

The question is: Is there anyone who had to use the ACPI support in the
2.3 series to get the FIR port working in linux? If I use acpidmp, I can
grep a *SMCF010 pnp ID in my system, but unfortunately I can't get any
other info.

Has someone heard of something like that?
