You can try out 2.2.15-pre12 which has the IrCOMM code which will be used
in 2.2.15 (out next week). If you still have problems you could try adding
an empty connect script pppd ... connect 'chat ""' which seems to fix some
problems when setting up an ac-hoc ppp connection using IrCOMM (don't know
why yet).
