Hello,
Well I have a very special problem, and I am
hoping that you can help me:
I have a hand scanner, for reading barcodes,
which has an infrared interface to
send/receive
data from a PC.
It seems to fit with the hardware IrDA
specifications, I can also send data with
115,200 bps and I can run BASIC and
possibly
C code on the hand scanner. But the software protocol
does not fit with the IrDA protocol, it works like a
simple serial
interface, I think. Maybe it simply
converts the serial
data in infrared signals, and
nothing more.
I have a Cannon BJC-50 printer, with an IrDA
receiver, and want to print data directly from
the
hand scanner.
My questions are:
Is it possible to send data to
the printer, if I implement
the IrDA-Protocol in BASIC-CODE
and use this simple
InfraRed interface
?
Is this
necessary ?
How can I implement the IrDA
protocol ?
Do you know any books and/or
internet resources, where
I can get the full protocol
specifications ?
Thanks, Emin
