That could be the issue. Whenever I've used riocp to move files to the
karma, it comes up with the error "Missing path properties". Poking around
in the source, it looks like this happens when an entry in the DB doesn't
have a "path" or "fid-generation" property. Given that my DB has been
getting regular rebuilds recently, it seems likely that at least one of my
*1 files has got dodgy properties.

I was about to hunt through the DB and track down the rogue track, but then
I thought "I wonder if riocp -b will fix it?"...
