two things ... this is the audio part on the bf548-ezkit, so without
this driver, we cant demo audio on that board.  and that board is by
far the best suited for easily testing audio with many other inputs at
the same time.

second, ac97 should be just a transport layer, so is there any reason
people cant hook up other codecs via it ?
