Right, I was thinking that the simplification of not destroying regions also includes the simplification of not having the kernel enforce a policy of unassembled regions. Just give a chance for CXL to grab the regions, and if that fails let the system come up and not try to take any other pre-emptive action. We can always go more complicated later with the evidence that the simple approach ended up being *too* simple.
