Why don't you call IBM and ask them?  Not being an arse, but its just
another jolt in regards to increasing their Linux awareness.  I would think
(doesn't help, eh?) that the DVD CD-ROM would work if it just pops in the
same bay as the CD-ROM drives do.  Under Linux, DVD drives work for normal
ATAPI, right?  Just as big CD-ROMs anyway...I think.

Anyway else have an idea?
