look around http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/, there used
to be a link to a page with lots of chip set info.
Also, try S.u.S.E.s xwin configurator. They've got a pretty good package (and
I hope it finally gets called as part of the install with 6.0).
