My experience with APA 1460 is excellent. I did not have a chance
to try the 1480 (which I think is supported), for my laptop is a
Toshiba 300 CT and I did not try to have CardBus support (the last
time I checked (quite a long time ago), Toshiba would not disclose
the material to program their CardBus stuff).

Going back to SCSI cards, I think there was another Adaptec card,
but not compatible with Linux (check the PCMCIA howto).

All in all, I'm very satisfied with the 1460 (I have been using it under
Linux, DOS, Win95 and WinNT), and I am not an Adaptec
shareholder...

Regards,

Laurent

PS: Is anyone using a SCSI PC-card to burn CDs out there ? Are
there any recommendation ? Any woes ?
