Yes. There are a number of Microlinux around. Some are floppy only, some
install as umsdos, so you do not have trouble in unistall it. 
The version I know, mulinux (http://mulinux.firenze.linux.it/) can install,
with X11 in as low as 15MB, according to the author. In the site you can find
links to alternative approach.
