I don't think this is necessary on modern ThinkPads (it's not on mine anyway
- the floppy works better without than with it), and in any case wouldn't
this need to be in conf.modules rather than lilo.conf given that the driver
is compiled as a module?
BTW have you used the "ThinkPad Features" program to configure the BIOS
lately? There are some clock-speed-varying things in there that you will
probably want to make sure are turned off.
