AFAIK, only older nickel cadmium batteries have the memory effect: modern NiCd
batteries don't get it unless they are using an automated discharger/recharger
which takes them down to the same level of charge & then recharges them.
Lithium ion & nickel metal hydride batteries don't have the memory effect,
AFAIK.
