There is something called (oddly enough) small linux, which is supposed to
run on machines with less than 4MB. They claim to have it running on a setup
much like yours (2MB laptop). The url I found is
http://smalllinux.netpedia.net. I have not followed the link, so cannot
verify it until my web proxy is back online :-(
