Beamer

Hi,

I've searched Deja News and various search engines, but couldn't find
anything on using video beamers with linux laptops. I guess that I would
need some special modelines and configure the laptop to run only over
the external display.
Has anybody any experience in doing this?

Specifically, I want to use an Epson 7100 beamer with a 1024x768
resolution on a IBM Thinkpad 770E running Red Hat 5.2, but with the
2.2.5 Kernel.
