Carsten,

don't know what a beamer is, but it sounds like an external display :). Hook
it up and go. You might need to play with your laptop's screen function, e.g.
I can get mine to work in several ways:

perfectly on lcd, but no external display
perfectly externally, but no lcd display
part missing on one of hte sides on both

I use this display projector at most once a month, so haven't bothered to look
into gettting it to work better :).
