Hello all,
This is partly a test, since the majordomo didn't return any "here's how
you mail to the list" instructions...

I've got a Compaq Armada 7700MT that I'm trying to load RH 6.0 onto.
Mostly it has worked fine. Biggest problems are PCMCIA and the modem,
neither of which seem to work. Attempting to load the PCMCIA modules at
boot time (or any other time for that matter) hangs the kernel so bad
that you have to power cycle the machine and wait through the obligatory
fsck. So I disabled bootup PCMCIA and got version 3.1.0 of card
services, with the same result. Now I'm stuck.

The card controller is a TI-1131, which is supposedly supported. The
NIC that I have is a 3C574-TX.

The modem is a Compaq built-in "SpeedPaq Telephony" model and, under
windows, resides at COM3. I can't seem to get it to work under linux,
but I don't have much experience with modems period, so it might just be
my own ignorance...

Any help on either topic would be great. The PCMCIA is more important,
since without that, I have no networking ability.

Thanks!!
