        Yes...  Does your laptop support this?

        Reason I ask is that I have several laptops.  My Compaq Armada 7770
works just fine and I can use a PS/2 mouse and an appropriate keyboard on
a Y adapter just fine.  OTOH...  My two Compaq Armada 1300s do NOT.  I can
use one or the other, not both.  The same cable that works on the 7770 does
no good on either of my 1300s.  I believe (but have no facts to back it
up) that it's a BIOS issue.  My solution on the 1300s has been to use
a serial external mouse and use the dual source option to gpm and feed it
up to X.  Not optimal, but it works.  I would be delighted to have an
upgrade that would get that Y adapter to work...
