Single user dialup machine
Running Redhat-6.0
Kernel 2.2.5-22 (stock)
6.0 errata applied
Recently got a new pcmcia card to have one for 2 locations (same
machine)
Couldn't find the exact same one, a netgear 410 so got the 510.
The laptop isn't finding the card, I've made no changes other than
pulled out the 410 and put in the 510.
Well I need to get some work done now, but only have the one dongle.
The one that came with the 510. So I thought I could use it on the
410 card. This seems to cause a mess.
First the light on my hub doesn't come on when I hook up the laptop.
It is pinging the 410 card by its IP ok. But isn't bying the new
dongle.
When I attempt to ping the machine I want to connect to I get these
messages:
eth0: pcnet_reset_8390() did not complete.
Hw. address read/write mismap 1
Hw. address read/write mismap 2
Hw. address read/write mismap 3
Hw. address read/write mismap 4
Hw. address read/write mismap 5
eth0: timeout watting for Tx RDC.
The hub is a netgear DS 104
Is this stuff incompatible?
