[IRDA] on a 4030CDT and printer Canon BJC80

Hello,

Everything works well on my Toshiba Satellite 4030CDT... X server,
sound, pcmcia cards (ethernet), mousewheel, internal Lucent modem,
etc. etc....

Now, the very last thing i'm trying to set up is the infrared port
linked to a Canon BJC80 printer...

1�) The IRDA stuff is loaded by these lines in my "/etc/rc.d/rc.local"
file.

# Loading IRDA for infrared port
insmod irda
echo 110 > /proc/sys/net/irda/slot_timeout
insmod irtty
irattach /dev/ttyS1
irmanager -d 1

2�) The Canon BJC80 printer has these entries in my "/etc/printcap"
file.

lp1|Canon BubbleJet BJC-80|:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp1:\

This configuration doesn't work at all... (I'm not really surprised).

Any successfull stories, any tips ?

(Yes, i've already read all the howtos on the matter, infrared, etc.)
