There is no difference. Your PCMCIA-card is reporting the correct speed. It
is the speed between both modems. Your desktop is giving the speed between
your computer (com-poort) and modem. You should set that at 115200, when
using a 16550A UART.
You can let your desktop report the correct speed by issueing a AT-command.
This mostly specific for the modem. Consult your manual for that. Look at
"reporting DTE-speed" and related info.
