I am curious about this.  What software support did you add to your system to
support the Neomagic256(?AV)?  I also have the Neomagic256AV in my ThinkPad
390X.  But IBM states that there is a ESS Solo 1 in the computer as well.  I
have been wandering if that is the audio part of the Neomagic256AV ?  To get
the Solo 1 to work I use OSS sound from http://www.opensound.com/

Dose the laptop have a external monitor connector on the laptop it self?  If
so dose the monitor work connectred to that one?  I have both the lines:
Option     "intern_disp"
Option     "extern_disp"
in my XFe6Config and have no problem with the external display using X
connected to the video connector on the back of my laptop.
