This isn't totally a Linux question but since Linux laptop
users usually need to know more about their hardware and I will
be using it under Linux, I'll ask away. Does anybody have/know
where I can find spec sheets on the expansion port of a Compal
TS30I series notebook? This is a Dell Inspiron 7000, Quantex
as a I-14xx, MidWest Micro SI (I think), etc. etc. Both Dell
and Quantex sell a port replicator that brings out
       keyboard/mouse PS/2, monitor, USB, and serial/parallel but
neither sell a docking station inwhich you can plug in
additional cards. From what I can gleem from my documentation,
the expansion port contains a full PCI bus, MIDI port, etc., in
addition to the other ports, so it ought to be possible to make
a PCI bus expansion card. I'm probably asking for serious
trouble, but thats half the fun. Anyone else have any good
alternatives (remember, I'm thinking relatively cheap/do it
yourself and learn hardware, not $400 PCMCIA expansion card)?
       Thanks.

       Adrian
