Hi,

I just installed XFree 3.3.6 from the RedHat 6.2 beta. It has support
for the SiliconMotion SMI910 ("Lynx") chipset and works fine with a
resolution of 800x600 (16 Bit).
However, I need a resolution of 1024x768 and my external monitor
supports this resolution at 85 Hz. So I put the following modeline in my
XF86Config:

# 1024x768 @ 70 Hz, 56.5 kHz hsync
Modeline "1024x768" 75 1024 1048 1184 1328 768 771 777 806 -hsync

...and it works, almost. :-( There seems to be a problem with the
synchronisation, I tried already all possibilities of +/-hsync vsync
and csync but the picture is somehow strange. The lines keep "dancing
around", it's the same when I attach another monitor (tried with 3
diffrent monitors). Any idea what I can do?

Ciao,
     Eric
