Check out the "Linux on Laptops" page at
http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/ . It has quite a few
Compaqs listed as well as several 127x models.

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ON THE CDROM AND THE LINUXBERG ARCHIVES!!! OK .. OK, so
maybe you don't have a few extra terrabytesto spare. I'd suggest Star Office
or WordPerfect, a few of the "K" programs (i.e. KIllustrator, KPresenter,
Kmail), Gimp, Code Crusader, anything with the word "util" in the description
on the CDrom you think you might use, xanim, a mp3 ripper or 2, Xevil, Xbill
(kill the evil Bill before he infects your systems with some strange winblows
virus, a delight for all), Quake, Civilazation ... You get the idea.
