Absolutely, windoze installs easy only if it can find everthing it
expects. I've had NT BSOD during intstalls many time, usually because it
picks the wrong drivers, even though the correct ones were available.

Suse 5.3 I believe was libc5, you can look in /lib to see what you

ls /lib/libc.so*

should indicate what version you have.

To place a file system on it, try
# mke2fs -c /dev/hdc

>Also, where should this go so I do not have to enter it every time I boot up?

Add this line to /etc/fstab to mount it at boot:

/dev/hdc /mnt/LS120 ext2 defaults 0 2

or this to say "mount /mnt/LS120" when you need it:

/dev/hdc /mnt/LS120 ext2 noauto 0 2

but wouldn't you rather have a partition table on a drive that size?

Someone posted an XF86Config.TNT2 some time ago,
which worked well.
I think xf86config is probably better than Xconfigurator
(for writing /etc/X11/XF86Config)
which Mandrake probably uses.
This offers a "RIVA TNT" card,
but in my experience it does not add "Chipset RIVATNT"
in the Devices section, which seems to be required.

I have an ASUS-V3800
which runs perfectly well with XFree3.3.3.1 .

I'm sure it is better to get the driver from Nvidia,
as many posters have suggested.
However, it is not necessary.

How does the system know to boot if lilo isn't installed, if Linux is
the only os? Can I set up my system to boot direct without lilo as if
lilo was never installed? Or once lilo is installed you have to use it?

Thanks

Yes. It basically involves creating an ethernet interface and
configuring the DSL router.

Are you running Win95 or 98? It makes a big difference to access, since
it's had some problems with licencing. You might check out MS
knowledgebase for a fix to that, I'm sure it's there. If you have
trouble finding it, email me and I'll dig up my file on it.

Are you running it in full screen mode? I hear that it makes a HUGE
difference. I haven't gotten mine up and running because I need to
re-install redhat on my blazing P100 notebook with 32MB ram before I try
it.

help you, if not, I'll use part of my free email tech support to ask
them.

Sync-ing? What do you mean? Shouldn't you just be re-installing apps
and patches?

I just used "dmesg" as root, piped through less (just incase it got too long
to scroll) - but found that the data was some 4 days old!

My current uptime is ~7 hrs, and I know I've booted to/from OS/2 about three
times since the 9th, so why hasn't it updated? Where's it get it's information
from?

Works for me. My ISP supplied a Cisco 675 router programmed as a DHCP
server and my SuSE runs a DHCP client. I have tier one service (384Kb)
and my download speeds vary between 27Kb/sec and 37 Kb/sec, which is
about 10 times faster than my old 56Kb modem download speed.
I love ADSL and I love being on 24/7, except during storms and when I'm
not home.
