You can enable debugging in dosemu & redirect the debug output to a file
using the -o option. Start dosemu as
dos -H1 -o dosdbg.txt
Now start dosdebug on another session & enable debugging by giving
+a. Then give g <ENTER> to continue execution.
Now after dos has exited, examine dosdbg.txt to see what went wrong.
